RoC Consulting is assisting Airport City with the next phase of the global logistics development.

With postal giants DHL already operating on the site, and Amazon in the process of completing their own 260,000 sq ft distribution hub, Airport City is now looking to realise the remainder of their masterplan as a world class global logistics hub. As part of these expansion works we are pleased to announce our appointment by Airport City to undertake site investigation works across the remainder of the development plots covering some 18.5ha to the south of Sunbank Lane.

Site investigation field works are currently underway, comprising the formation of over 65 exploratory boreholes and trial pits to assess the site’s geotechnical parameters and contaminative potential to support new building design. The information obtained from these works will be used in gearing up for development of the land, as well as assisting with the early identification of any ground related abnormal issues.

These works build on RoC Consulting’s long standing relationship with the Airport City development, which includes our appointment to complete the structural design for the £15m Plot Alpha development (currently under construction) and our provision of high level Civil Engineering and Geotechnical input to the Airport City North commercial office masterplan.
